I always thought it would be cool to have a NASCAR manager with something like a simcity vibe. You could add parts to your shop like a chassis shop, engine shop, setup plates, body shop, simulation, R&D, pit crew training, offices, etc. And there would be coding on how information flows between the departments.

It would be up to the player to make sure the shop flow was correct to get the most out of the team. If you had a poorly organized shop then it would bottleneck and slow down productivity.

Low productivity would decrease employee happiness and lead to them leaving the team.You could upgrade shops with equipment and people, implement supervisors that have an effect on their workers, and how you upgrade your facilities and pay would have an effect on your retention. You could hire from other teams but you'd pay a premium to do it as well as others hiring from your team.Basically since the sport is really about the teams and the people that make them up, make a game about the people and not just the cars.

If the people are good and the facilities are good, then the cars would follow.
